| In fact, packing the festive decorations away at this time of year almost gives you a blank canvas to work with for your Spring decorating. I often look around a room after the Christmas tree has gone and think to myself; ‘this space is so big now’. So with all that perceived ‘extra space’, why not make some changes to your room and inject a little colours and happiness into your home? While doing my research, I studied the Pantone colour intelligence predictions for Spring/Summer 2016. Although these bright juicy colours were intended for fashion forecasting, I was sure that they would translate well into a fresh spring-time interior scheme too.
These are the top ten colours of the year and, according to Leatrice Eiseman, the Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute, they will “transport us to a happier, sunnier place where we feel free to express a wittier version of our real selves.” So not only will we see fruity hues and aquatic tones in our clothes, we’ll also be bringing a brighter and bolder palette into our homes too.
