Halloween Decorations

10/30/2017

Happy Monday Everyone!! Today I want to share with you my halloween decorations. We had our annual Halloween party last Friday and it was a great success! This year our theme was the new Stephen King  movie "It" just the interior of the home as I had to keep the outside kid friendly for when we hand out candy on Halloween night.
Every year I decorate with the regular spider webs around the house, but I find I have to use so many bags of it because there are different qualities out there. Some brands are not the best, they fall apart and don't stretch as much as others, so this time I decided to order beef netting from Trenton Mills in the US and shipped it to my home in Canada. I have to say, that was the best decision ever! I loved the beef netting, it is super easy to decorate with and you can cover a lot of area with it. I spent about $60 USD for 10 lbs. and I have a full roll left. I definitely recommend for you guys to try this next year, it is the best! People were stopping by to ask what it was when I was outside decorating and complimenting on how awesome it looked.
Here are some pictures from the halloween decorations:
Picture
We placed wood like panels on the window made out of cardboard and a black sharpie. We also placed cheese cloth all thru the front of the double garage and the beef netting with giant spiders on the side and the entrance of the home.
Picture
Here is the entrance of the home, I took this photo with a flash so you can see better all the details. The red balloons were floating all around the home.
Picture
My husband dressed as Pennywise welcoming our guests.

Picture
This spider is activated by noise and it definitely scared a bunch of our guests.
Above you can see the entrance of the home without a flash.
Picture
We made this super cool floating ghosts made out of packing tape, they were a bit of a challenge but it was all worth it, they really looked amazing!
Picture
My home entrance with some DIY decorations I found on Pinterest like the book with the eyeballs and the other book with the skeleton hand scratching the book.
Picture
I like removing some of my furniture to have more space for dancing as well as my rugs and covering my furniture with white sheets, that way I prevent my furniture from any spills and it gives it that "haunted mansion" look.

Above you can see me in a super creepy costume of a broken doll, I made the mask with layers of liquid latex and applied make up on it once it was dried. It turned out pretty scary if I say so myself!                 You can also see a close up of my husband's amazing make up done by CurliQue Beauty downtown Vancouver. They did such a great job, super professional and when you get your make up done there you can redeem the total money spent on your make up in beauty products from their store which is so awesome!
My husband's Pennywise costume was made by my incredibly talented sister in Mexico, She is studying Fashion Design, so we asked if She could make the costume and honestly it was the best  thing ever, so detailed and perfect! Check out her Instagram page @custommadegdl and make sure to follow her to see all the great clothing pieces she makes, absolutely the best!
Hope you have a wonderful Halloween!! Till next time,

Hello Everyone, I can't believe it has been one week since I started this new blog series! Time definitely flies by quickly. I have been busy decorating my house for Halloween as we are hosting our second Annual Halloween Party. Last year was a great success so I am hoping we can make this year even better! Unfortunately, I can't show you my decor just yet as I want it to be a surprise to all our guests but I will make sure to share with you once the party happens ;)
Ok, this week I am bringing you Halloween decor from Target. I was there a couple weeks ago and I wanted to take everything home, they have the best Halloween decorations at amazing prices! You can find out more information on my favourite items by clicking on the images below.

Here are my favourite top 10:

Halloween Lefesize Posable Skeleton
I have two of this Lifesize Posable Skeletons and  absolutely love them! I usually place them on our roof top, positioned as if they were trying to break into the window and they look fantastic!

Halloween animated haunted TV
What about this awesome Haunted TV? The face will move forward and stretch the fabric as if it was going to come out of the screen... Pretty scary!!!
Halloween Animated doorbell with eyeball
This animated eyeball doorbell will add a spooky look to any door. Another one of my favourite items to add to my house for Halloween.
Halloween Skeleton Wolf
The skeleton wolf is another one of my favourite halloween decor items. It is just so cool, the head is movable side to side and the jaw opens and closes so you can choose how you want to pose it and is 27.5" tall!
Halloween rotating movie projector with sound and LED bulbs
Halloween White Pumpkin with gold studs
This rotating movie projector is awesome, I saw it when I was at Target last time and I wanted to take it with me. It projects rotating skulls and ghosts as it makes realistic projector sounds!
Halloween Premium Snake Tombstone
How funny is this tombstone? I think is so cool and it totally made me laugh when I saw it!
I love white pumpkins, add a little bling to it and you got yourself the best pumpkin ever! it also comes in black and two different sizes. To see the black versionclick here.
Halloween Hanging Candelabra
Definitely one of my favourite decorations to add to my haunted house, it looks so nice and it adds a bit of tasteful spookiness to my decor.
Halloween pre-lit artificial willow tree
Nothing like a 6 ft tall willow tree to add a bit of fun to your outside decorations, this tree comes pre-lit with small orange lights all down the branches. It looks really cool at night.
Halloween Giant Spider
You can't do halloween decorations without adding a giant spider or several spiders big and small around your home. This year I am so excited, I made an amazing spider web using beef netting and added a few giant spiders on it for my outdoor decorations. Can't wait to show you next time!!
I have to say, choosing only 10 of my favourite items to share with you for the Target Tuesday Halloween Edition was a bit hard.  I love Halloween and Target has tons of amazing Halloween decor items to choose from,  Make sure to stop by the store if you are near one or check their website for all of their available items online.
Hope you have a wonderful Halloween Everyone!!  Happy Decorating :)

Bar Cart Styling

10/15/2017

Bar carts are super trendy right now, personally I love them! I just got one for my home and had so much fun putting it all together! There are so many different ways you can do it and the best part is, you can change it as often as you want to transition into the different seasons.

This trend is all about having fun and adding some of your personality to the cart. I love gold and this is why I opted for a gold cart and mostly golden accents. Being from Mexico I had to add a cool bottle of Tequila and my favourite St. Germain liqueur along with those mini bottles of Botega Gold.

So have fun, play around and don't be afraid as you can't really go wrong with it. This is what I did with mine.

Happy Thanksgiving!!

10/7/2017

Happy Thanksgiving! We are hosting our Thanksgiving dinner today and there are a list of things to do to prepare our home for the family gathering.
My husband and I have our hosting routine figured out, we love having people over for dinner and we make a great team. Rob (my husband) cooks the amazing meals we serve to our guest and I clean the house and decorate for every party, gathering or dinner event we host.
This time is no different;  I started getting ready last week, I went to the pumpkin patch and bought many pumpkins in different colours, shapes and sizes to decorate my front porch and my dining table.

I usually get orange pumpkins but this time I decided to do things a bit different and bought an assortment of colour and different types of pumpkins.
Picture
Picture
I went home and played around with all my pumpkins and got beautiful yellow mums to compliment the colours and finish up the look. Here is what the front porch looks like, ready to welcome all our guest for tonight's dinner!
Picture
And last but not least my dining table centre piece arrangement for our dinner. We will be serving food buffet style and I can hardly wait to eat all the amazing food my husband is making and our family and friends are bringing.
Picture
I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving Celebration!!

XO,
